Description
La Deûle is a river in the north of France. After Louis XIV took Lille in the XVII century the "citadelle" was built and the architect (Vauban) wanted to use "la Deûle" to slow enemies.
We use to say that life is an old and unhurried river and sometimes we wish to stop time and live a moment forever. That is what I want this picture to transmit.
The sky is representing the flowing time, and the river is the representation of life. Although the time is passing (the sky) the water and the rest of the photo are fixed. This scenery will may be never, ever, look the same, but it will exist as long as this photo exist. This is what I love about photography. This is a feeling of joy, and that's the emotions and meaning I want this picture to have.
